The feet carry the body’s entire weight and are essential for balance, walking, and stability. Because of the constant load, they are prone to overuse, strain, and injury.

Common Foot Conditions

Foot pain and inflammation may result from overuse, improper footwear, misalignment, or injury. Typical symptoms include swelling, stiffness, pain, and reduced mobility.

Treatment

Physiotherapy can relieve pain and inflammation through massage, stretching, and manual therapy. The physiotherapist may also recommend orthopedic aids, such as custom shoes, orthoses, or insoles, to support and reduce pressure on affected areas.

Exercise and Prevention

Targeted training helps strengthen the muscles around the foot, improve balance and coordination, and increase flexibility in the foot and ankle. This helps prevent future injuries and supports recovery after trauma.

Regular physiotherapy follow-up can also lower the risk of chronic pain and stiffness.

Foot Exercises

Here you’ll find exercise programs designed to strengthen, stretch, and stabilize the feet. These programs are suitable for both clinical use and self-training and can easily be adapted to different levels and needs.
